What about Christmas ? There's so much to say. How do I say it without revealing My deepest hurts ? Would it mean anything to anyone, to you, if I do not express and expose My innermost feelings to you ?
What about Christmas ?
My dearest and most honest answer -
"It's so-so-so very alien in spirit."
I realised this, My truest feeling about it, after decades of My life spent under the all encompassing umbrella (or shall I say "...grip?") of the Roman Catholic Church. Childhood under that umbrella was a fantastic dream, with all those engaging rituals of a "TRUE ?" Christian - Carols, X'mas trees, Santa, cakes, lights, angels, cribs, stars, charity, midnight mass in the winter cold; everything to capture one's (especially a child's) senses and soul, sowing the first seeds of the desire to "escape" to some-"any" western, Christian country, somehow-"anyhow", for that matter even in the hearts of uninformed non-Christians, let alone in our own hearts and minds.
Now many of you of My generation are doing the same to the next generation, who, if at all any, will take decades to realise what's being done to them. And what of many fellow non-Christians' awe of all things Christian and western ? That makes things worse still.
You've got to understand it or else we're all lost and rootless.
I prefer roots to wings because I love the Earth more than the sky. One can fly about in the sky but finally one has to come down to the Earth to find rest and peace.
And I had to learn to love My Motherland (India) no matter what it's flaws were.
Most of us are not able to shake off the grip or the fantastic dreams ever, rather we live and die in it and more- we perpetuate it. You know the one type fits all types ...!!! :( !
